Pared (2014)



Pared (español for Wall) is the first of an ongoing series of documents and observations on insect culture.

A natural progression from Surface (2010-2013), the 24 hour live video
work of the undersea life of False Creek, where Bowie was primarily concerned with bringing up to the surface
that which is usually hidden from view/conciousness, Pared as the first in her insect series investigates minute details
of the survival strategies, habits and cooperative constructs of various types of fauna.
