The resulting footage becomes an abstraction, initially obtuse in terms of what one is looking at. Bowie has been
creating videos as a direct documentation of her environment in ways that make the environment unfamiliar and unrecognizable.
Like her recent
Flux
series, the focus is on the experience of time, rather than any particular, recognizable context
or locale.
